Pycharm CE 2017 issue - no editor, console, tabs or windows -


just upgraded pycharm 2016 2017 (mac osx). opened project and...

  1. cannot see project view (although have project structure, top left , can navigate through hierarchy)
  2. cannot see code editor, cannot view/edit code modules
  3. cannot see console

the environment pretty useless. missing?

also, looking @ files/projects in finder 'py' files have xcode icon means pycharm not recognise files python...

seems pycharm interpreter settings got wiped. although project retained settings, actual environment did not.
