git - Deploying/pushing 'local' Node.js web application to multiple clients -


i have written node.js app runs on multiple clients. app runs videos , displayed advertising content. it's built run locally save bandwidth.

i'm looking way can update app 'over air'. want able pull video content server, plan within node.js app.

i'm thinking using shell script git pull latest version, perhaps daily or wget package, download it, unzip it, run it.

i use rsync.

i'm hoping has suggestion didn't think of. it's important find solution both reliable , scalable.
