FTP Client with pause and resume feature -


i need implement ftp client pause , resume feature.

this thread mentions how can done http upload file upload pause , resume in android.

can similar done ftp uploads also?
assume server need support feature. correct?
pointers helpful.

ftp not have feature transfer part of file http content-range. if want stop upload close data connection , resume first issue size command detect uploaded file size , rest command file position want continue upload. since there no way inform server up-front final file size should first upload file temporary name , after upload completed use rnfr , rnto rename final file name.
more information these ftp command please have @ standard, i.e. rfc 959.
