excel - Using the "extends" functionality in drools spreadsheets? -


i have question using certian drools functionality in drools decision spreadsheet, lot in reducing files , making them more readable.

i can't add more 2 links please downlad .zip file includes: version1.png, version1.drl, version2.png, version2.drl, version3desired.drl

so here sample rule using right (something similar)version1.png

and when converted drl gives following 193 line long drl file. (version1.drl)

it ok , works well, after research found out use "extends" functionality in drl.

and works in drl, know how use in excel spreadsheet?

i designed rule in way: version2.png

clearly not how "extends" should used in excel, since returns following drl (version2.drl)

you can see extends inside "" of rule name. makes sense guess, woudl know is, how use correctly? seperate column? didn't work, @ least not way did it.

does know how should done?

the correct drl should made after excel converted this: (version3desired.drl)

there no gain in using extends spreadsheets in way describe in question.

i suggest stick spreadsheet layout shown in version1.png. if data entry personnel complains dull repetition of 1/7/30 in oodles of rows, teach them how join cells need type each value once.
