visual studio - Timeout expired when Starting without debugging, but works fine while debugging -


i have simple c# windows forms application i'm trying create. on form1_load query database simple request fill datagridview.

if debug application, query executes without issue.

if "start without debugging," connection database times out every time sqlexception: timeout expired. timeout period elapsed prior completion of operation or server not responding.

this affecting multiple different projects used work flawlessly before today, so i'm pretty it's issue visual studio , not code. here's hoping knows causing this.

after fresh install of vs2008 on new machine, i'm still experiencing issue. able run project without debugging, , first time connecting database worked fine, fails described above. possibly kind of weird connection pool issue in vs?

check antivirus software.

my antivirus flagging every new application tried run without debugging, had alerts antivirus turned off had no idea.

i turned on alerts , when ran app got notice antivirus. allowed permanently , runs smoothly.
