android - Can we get Speed limit information from Waze APIs? -


i've been trying develop speed limit application & have tried many different approaches done .

i have used overpass apis & did did not have speed limit information few of locations around europe & installed velociraptor uses osm map & here maps apis still failed data . here screenshot of velociraptor app :

yesterday came across osmbonuspack & looks promising allows choose 3 best routing services available author of osmbonuspack told me unfortunately, 3 routing services not returning speed limit information. refer : is possible speed limit data using osmbonuspack?

i have installed waze application & has speed limit data locations around europe not available above options. , has idea how getting information or knows datasource using ?

any suggestions appreciated.

i'm afraid waze not use data source or @ least not 1 unique data source use. crowd-sourced application relies on information entered map editors via waze map editor. editors might have used open data sources available regions (if permitted local organisation), it's far more they've used local knowledge, google street view (waze has special license that) or user reports sent in via app.

as map used waze not open data, i'd highly advice against attempting retrieve speed data map. have not exposed information in open api, should strong indication reuse of data not permitted.
