solr6 - Solr query time increaes after machine reboot -


i have 2.2gb solr core responds extremely after running indexing process via dataimporthandler. noticed solr uses considerable amount of ram while doing that.

the problem comes after reboot machine. query time increases 200 - 300ms , used ram low.

so can please give me hint on can try reach same perfomance have after indexing after machine reboot?

if reboot machine, index files cold, is, not cached os.

so, if have enough free ram load whole index in it, can use script this:

find $path_to_your_index_data_dir/data/ -type f -exec cat {} \; > /dev/null

do before starting solr. index 2.2gb should quick.
