perforce - How to re-add deleted files as result of backout operation in Perfroce? -


i had submitted change-list containing new files , reason had back-out.

now trying submit new change-list adds same file back.

the problem when backed-out, deleted files head revision , when trying submit change-list says 'out of date files must resolved or reverted'

i tried googling solution not find relevant, can please guide me right direction?

you need out first back-out. (when backed out addition, mean submitted it, right?)

locate changelist submitted, e.g. via p4v's submitted tab, right-click , choose back out....

it's best if files you're trying resurrect (re-add) don't exist on filesystem, otherwise perforce refuse overwrite them. (which may error message telling you; i'm not sure.)
