git - Quick and easy version control for WordPress Themes? -


i work alongside 2 other developers , need method of version control implementing within our workflow. we're centralising data using synology nas (which backing google drive) bulk of our development work done on our local machines speed things up.

we've been running issues lately have lost track of file versions when moving between local, centralised , live copies due our set up. have suggested, between ourselves, using git none of experienced , after spending today doing research feel though not going help. feels quite clunky , though slows process down. maybe i'm doing wrong?

anyway, if suggest better way/optimal git config have used or had experience appreciative.
