java - Unable to locate tools.jar -


i building project in java.

i have error:

unable locate tools.jar. expected find in c:\program files\java\jre6\lib\tools.jar

i have installed jdk , folder: c:\program files\java\jre6\lib in system file tools.jar not there.

yes, you've downloaded , installed java runtime environment (jre) instead of java development kit (jdk). latter has tools.jar, java.exe, javac.exe, etc.
